- 1 pound large shrimp (16-20 count), peeled and deveined

- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, divided
•
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
•
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
•
- 1/3 cup white wine (Pinot Grigio)
•
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
•
- 1/4 cup fresh Italian parsley, chopped
•
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
•
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
•
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes

1. Pat shrimp completely dry with paper towels

2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat olive oil and 1/4 cup butter

3. Add shrimp in a single layer, season with salt and pepper

4. Cook 2 minutes per side until just pink forming a "C" shape

5. Remove shrimp to a plate

6. In same pan, add garlic and red pepper flakes, cook 30 seconds

7. Add white wine, simmer 2 minutes to reduce

8. Lower heat to medium, add remaining butter and lemon juice

9. When butter is melted, return shrimp to pan

10. Toss to coat, add parsley

11. Optional: Place under broiler for 1 minute for restaurant-style finish
