Ingredients
•
Blondie:
•
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
•
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
•
- 1 1/2 cups light brown sugar
•
- 2 large eggs
•
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
•
- 1 tsp baking powder
•
- 1/2 tsp salt
•
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
•
- 1/2 cup chopped macadamia nuts
•
Maple Cream Sauce:
•
- 1 cup heavy cream
•
- 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
•
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
•
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
•
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
•
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
1
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Butter a 9x13 inch baking pan thoroughly.
2
2. Cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes. Beat in eggs one at a time, then vanilla extract.
3
3. Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in separate bowl. Gradually fold dry ingredients into wet mixture until just combined.
4
4. Gently fold in white chocolate chips and macadamia nuts. Spread batter evenly in prepared pan.
5
5. Bake until golden edges form and toothpick comes out with few moist crumbs, 22-25 minutes. Cool completely.
6
6. For maple cream sauce, combine cream, maple syrup, and sugar in saucepan. Simmer until reduced by one-third, about 10 minutes.
7
7. Remove from heat, whisk in butter, vanilla, and salt until glossy and smooth.
8
8. Cut blondie into squares. Drizzle generously with warm maple cream sauce.
