  • - 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • - 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • - 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • - 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • - 2 tbsp olive oil
  • - 1 medium yellow onion, finely diced
  • - 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • - 1 tbsp fresh thyme leaves
  • - Kosher salt and cracked black pepper
  • - 1/4 cup chicken stock
  • - 2 tbsp unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. 11. Whisk bourbon, soy sauce, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, and minced garlic in a large bowl.
  2. 22. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Marinate chicken in bourbon mixture for 30 minutes, turning occasionally.
  3. 33. Heat olive oil in a large cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  4. 44. Remove chicken from marinade, reserving liquid. Sear chicken until golden brown, about 5-6 minutes per side.
